Personal Statement about Training Program:
For nearly two decades, focusing has brought healing and growth to me in my personal life, private practice, and work as a hospice social worker and chaplain. It has taught me to listen deeply to myself and others, and to treat myself and others with compassion and interest, overcoming the self-judgment that paralyzes so many. Focusing unleashes our creativity as individuals and also helps us to develop healthy, growing relationships and life-giving community. It is a joy to share the precious gift of focusing with individual clients and with groups.

A Sample of my Work:
'Of course, the foundation of all the work is empathic relating to the client. I heard Gene Gendlin say in a lecture once, 'If in doubt, reflect back.' So, reflective listening is key.' A client said to me once, 'I can tell that you really listen to me. I can see in your eyes that you listen from the heart.'
