Personal Statement about Training Program:
I have been using person-centered approaches & experiential learning for >30 years. I was trained by Eugene Gendlin & the founding Focusing Institute staff and served as East Coast Coordinator for 6 years. I was a pioneer in phone-coaching and have been offering Focusing in communities & organizations nationally since 1988.

I help people learn & apply Focusing to their lives. Over the years, that simple intention resulted in restoring client confidence & relationships; health & well-being; and meaningful living. I offer services over-the-phone & in-person.

Focusing is recognized by the APA; can be learned; can be achieved in as little as 10 minutes; provides positive & long-lasting change; is respectful, natural & systemic; and uses principles shared by modern science & ancient wisdom. Best of all, Focusers don't need to share or repeat anything private for Focusing to work.

A Sample of my Work:
From LOVE DAD Experiences to Grow By, which I published in 2005.

'Experience is the best teacher.' Ever heard that before. Well, it's true! More people respond better to learning by experience than any other form of education. Experience is the intuitive whole, which is greater than the sum of its sensory parts. Teaching by experience is an ageless form of teaching that also helps the teacher to continue learning as well.

Our experience is our truth, which sets us free. It reinforces our character and openness to learn and receive other perspectives. Learning by experience humbles and empowers us which is why I recommend it.
